Junair proud sponsors of the BEN Lynwood to Paris charity cycle ride!
Junair Spraybooths and AGM Services are proud to announce that they are the main sponsors of the BEN Lynwood to Paris Charity cycle ride, taking place from the 15th to the 19th June 2016. The 5 day 500km cycle ride will see the cyclists peddling to Paris from the BEN Headquarters at Lynwood.
BEN is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to making positive differences to people’s lives in the automotive industry. BEN is proud to offer lifetime practical help, support and advice to those who work, or have worked in the automotive and related industries, and to their family dependents. In addition to its wide range of free confidential information, advice and support services, BEN operates highly-regarded care centres at various locations throughout the UK plus a day centre in Coventry.
Neil Morrison, Managing Director at Junair Spraybooths and AGM Services, comments, “We agreed to become main sponsor for the event as we’ve heard great things about the work that BEN has done for the industry over the years. It’s a fantastic cause. I’m just pleased that we can do our bit to help out.”
As well as being the main sponsor, a team of cyclists from both Junair Spraybooths and AGM Services have joined together to raise funds for BEN by participating in the Lynwood to Paris charity cycle ride.
Meet the team
Cycling from Junair are; Junair Founder and Managing Director, Neil Morrison and Jordan Young, Assistant Production Manager.
Cycling from AGM Services are; AGM Services Founder, Julie Morrison and Fiona Morrison, Operations Manager.
Neil Morrison comments, “I started training as soon as I signed up for the event. I live in quite a rural area so it’s great for training outdoors. I’ve always enjoyed cycling so this is a great excuse to get out and about.
I know the cycle ride itself will be a tough 5 days but I’m aiming to get as ready as possible with my training. I’m hoping the scenery en route and the promise of a large glass (or two) of red in Paris will soften the blow.”
Jordan Young comments, “I love cycling and quite often go out on my bike at weekends with my wife and kids. I love the idea of the challenge and I’m stepping up my training so I’ll be ready for the 500km. It’s a fantastic cause that we’re riding for and knowing that I’m doing it for my industry colleagues will give me the drive I need to complete the cycle.”
Julie Morrison comments, “As soon as I signed up for the event I joined a spinning class. As well as that I’m cycling around the local area as much as I can. The event still seems like a long way off but I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it and I want to make sure I’m ready and trained when it does come around. The sights en route will be amazing and ending up in one of Europe’s most iconic capital cities will be the icing on the cake.”
Fiona Morrison comments, “I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’m under no illusion that it will be tough but the thought that I can do something to help those who have found themselves in difficult circumstances will spur me on. I’ve always enjoyed sports and am a member of the local hockey team, playing defence in competitive matches on a regular basis. It’s a once in a lifetime challenge, hopefully I’ll do the team proud.”
