Junair have recently completed the install of two new high specification spraybooths for AW Accident Repair Group at their site in Markham Vale, Derbyshire.
This newly created AW Accident Repair Centre in Derbyshire brings the group’s total number of sites to four. It is in a prime location alongside Junction 29a of the M1 at Markham Vale Enterprise Park. The 15,000 square feet facility was previously a warehouse which has now been converted into a fully functional high specification bodyshop.
The install was completed over an 8 week period and the equipment installed included two drive-through 3 series spraybooths. Both spraybooths have been fitted with Junair’s patented auxiliary air drying system (QADs) which is proven to reduce drying times and energy costs. The spraybooths also feature Junair’s latest LED lighting which dramatically improves the lux levels within the spraybooth and also helps to reduce operating costs. At either end of the spraybooths 4 leaf doors have been fitted to allow easy access of vehicles into the spraybooths.
Each spraybooth is operated by Junair’s sophisticated iSystem touch screen control panel which allows operatives to select from a range of pre-programmed bake cycles, the system also auto-balances the spraybooth to provide a consistent airflow level.
Both spraybooths sit on a surface mounted fully extracted and balanced LEVAC floor which requires no builders-work excavation. This low profile design requires only a 140mm high ramp, making loading and unloading vehicles much easier.
A paint mixing room was installed which achieves 30 air changes per hour. The paint mixing room was fitted in-between the spraybooths for convenience. The paint mixing room has also been fitted with LED lighting to increase energy efficiency.
