Parkway Prestige choose Junair for new accident repair facility
Background
Parkway Prestige is a family run business, it’s purpose-built accident repair centre in Trafford Park, Manchester was established by David Gage in 1993. They work alongside the UK’s leading manufacturers, insurers and accident management companies, as well as private vehicle owners and repair all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles.
The current site was bought in approximately 2007 and fitted out to an exceptionally high standard by Junair, as the business grew it became apparent that bigger premises were needed to continue their success.
The Solution
Over a period of approximately 2 years, and with several challenges to navigate a plan was drawn and a new site was acquired to enable significant increase in output with the same ultra high-quality ethos.

Junair have supplied four large, high end spray booth ovens. Each measuring 9x5x3.6m (LxWxH) with fully gridded floors, roof mounted 35,000m³/hr direct gas fired air handling plant, 3m wide 3-leaf vehicle doors, high and low-level LED lights with 360-degree Halo lighting, ATEX 3-tonne vehicle lift flush fit with the gridded floor, iSystem³ touch screen controls, two Devilbiss filter regulators and QADS auxiliary driers. All booths were also built ready for an IR system which was installed into two booths initially.

In the centre of the row of booths is a gun cleaning room, a separate paint mixing room and a decontamination room. Painters pass through the decontamination room where dust and debris is removed from their PPE before walking through a clean positive pressure corridor and into their chosen spray booth through the rear personnel door. Touch screen booth and the lift controls are all positioned by this door for operator efficiency and to give the front elevation a cleaner appearance.
Alongside the booths is a Multi Material Bay where specialist non-steel repairs are carried out. This is another large cabin, required for the many manufacturer approvals held, with high level Halo lighting and additional low-level lights. Parkways own bespoke workbenches and cabinets are integrated into the rear wall with background extraction provided.
Compressed air installation to all the new equipment and new work benches, gas pipework from the new meter including a solenoid shut-off, services tray and wall holes for the flues were all provided to complete the project.
By investing in cutting-edge equipment and technology, Parkway Prestige has not only increased its production capacity but will improve efficiency and quality, ensuring they maintain their reputation for excellence and a leader in the market.
